Castelfiorentino is a town of 15,000 inhabitants in the province of Florence in Tuscany. In the center of Castelfiorentino, is Piazza Gramsci, and then the People’s Theatre, built in the nineteenth century.
Crossing the streets in the center you will reach Piazza Cavour, from here via Palestro, where the arch is the Palazzo della Misericordia, built in the ‘30s.
Are followed by the Church of San Francesco which dates back to the thirteenth century. Behind it stands the Sanctuary of Santa Verdiana.
Continuing uphill you reach Piazza del Popolo, where on the left stands the Palazzo del Comune, rebuilt after a fire in 1544 and restored in 1867.
